Himix ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users ("you" or "user") of our guitar practice companion app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it, with a focus on transparency and user control. - Usage Analytics: We gather anonymous usage patterns (e.g., frequency of recording sessions, average practice time set via the tomato clock, usage of annotation features) to improve App performance and prioritize feature development. This data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to individual users.
- Performance Data: We collect crash reports and error logs (without personal identifiers) to fix technical issues and ensure smooth interaction and responsive layout across all device sizes.
2.2 User-Generated Content
- Audio Recordings: All guitar practice clips you record are stored locally on your device by default. If you choose to enable cloud backup (an optional feature), recordings are encrypted and stored on our secure servers. We do not access or listen to your recordings unless you submit them for technical support purposes.
- Annotations and Timelines: Time point annotations and practice notes are stored alongside your recordings (locally or encrypted in the cloud) and are only used to display your personalized timeline during review sessions.
- Coin Balance and Purchase History: If you make in-app purchases for coins, we store your purchase history and coin balance locally on your device (no account required). Purchase data is shared only with the applicable app store for payment processing and does not include personal information.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data exclusively for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain core Himix features (recording, annotation, tomato clock, coin system)
- To improve App performance, usability, and responsiveness
- To fix technical bugs and ensure smooth interaction with the purple-black themed interface
- To process in-app purchases and maintain accurate coin balances
- To respond to user inquiries sent to our support email (himixhimixsibb@outlook.com)
We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Aggregated, anonymous usage data may be shared with our development partners to improve App functionality, but this data does not contain any identifiable information.
4. Data Storage and Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- Local data (recordings, annotations, coin balance) is stored securely on your device with encryption where applicable
- Cloud-stored data (if enabled) is encrypted in transit and at rest using AES-256 encryption
- Payment information for in-app purchases is handled entirely by third-party app stores (Apple/Google) – we never store credit card or payment details
- Access to any server-stored data is restricted to authorized Himix team members only, and only for technical support or App improvement purposes
You retain full control over your data: you can delete recordings, annotations, or reset your coin balance at any time through the App's settings. Uninstalling the App will remove all local data unless you have enabled cloud backup.
5. Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it. Cloud-backed data (if enabled) is retained for as long as you use the App, and will be permanently deleted if you request it via our support email. Anonymous usage analytics data is retained for up to 12 months and then aggregated into non-identifiable reports.
6. Your Privacy Choices
As Himix does not require account registration, you have full control over your privacy:
- Opt out of anonymous usage analytics via the App's "Settings > Privacy" menu
- Disable cloud backup to keep all data strictly local
- Request deletion of any cloud-stored data by contacting himixhimixsibb@outlook.com
- Delete all App data at any time through your device's App settings
7. Children's Privacy
Himix is designed for guitar beginners of all ages, but we do not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. 8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in App features or privacy practices.
